Short Biography 

Md. Sazzadur Rahman is working as a Professor at the Institute of Information Technology (IIT), Jahangirnagar University, Savar, Dhaka-1342, Bangladesh, from 20 September 2023 to date. He had also served as an Assocaiate Professor and Assistant Professor at the same institute from 16 February 2021 to 20 September 2023 and 12 November 2018 to 15 February 2020, respectively.  Previously, he had joined to the department of Electronics and Communication Engineering under the faculty of Computer Science and Engineering at Hajee Mohammad Danesh Science and Technology University (HSTU), Dinajpur, Bangladesh, in 2009 as a lecturer (part-time), became a permanent Lecturer in 2010, was prompted to the post of Assistant Professor in 2012, and worked there as an Associate Professor from 10 May 2017 to 11 November 2018.

He received his Ph.D. in Material Science (Surface Science) from Kyushu University, Japan as a MEXT scholarship grantee in 2015. Previously, he received his B.Sc. (Hons.) degree and M.Sc. degree in Applied Physics, Electronics, and Communication Engineering from the University of Dhaka, Bangladesh, in 2005 (held in 2007) and 2006 (held in 2009), respectively.  He has about 14 years’ experience in research and teaching in the fields of Electronics, Internet of Things, Machine Learning, Communication Engineering and Material Science. He received government scholarships during his Bachelor's and Master’s courses.

Now he is working as a co-investigator on the DIVERSASIA Erasmus+ project (project number 618615-EPP-1-2020-1-UKEPPKA2-CBHEJP). He is also currently working as a principal investigator on a project funded by the University Grant Commission (UGC) of Bangladesh. He administered several projects as the principal investigator, funded by Jahangirnagar University research grant.
