Short Biography
Professor Shamim Al Mamun is a highly accomplished computer scientist and engineer with a wealth of experience and knowledge in the fields of autonomous systems, artificial intelligence, and software engineering. He received his B.Sc. (Hons.) and M.Sc. (Engg.) degrees in Computer Science and Engineering from Jahangirnagar University (JU) and Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET), respectively, and went on to earn his PhD degree from the Graduate School of Science and Engineering at Saitama University in Japan. Throughout his career, Professor Al Mamun has made significant contributions to the advancement of computer science through his research and publication of more than 60 peer-reviewed articles and papers in international journals and conferences. He has also served as a guest editor for both the Studies in Rhythms Engineering (Springer-Nature) and the International Journal of Ambient Computing and Intelligence (IJACI), and has held numerous leadership roles in the organization of international conferences, including as Organizing Chair for the International Conference on Trends in Computational and Cognitive Engineering (TCCE) in 2020 and as a Steering Committee Member for TCCE in 2021.With more than 1,000 citations on Google Scholar, an h-index of 15, and an i10-index of 15, it is clear that Professor Al Mamun's work has made a significant impact on the field of computer science. He is a founding member of the IEEE Computer Society-Bangladesh Chapter and has served as a PhD supervisor at Jahangirnagar University in Bangladesh. He is truly a leader in his field and continues to make important contributions to the advancement of computer science and engineering.
